Hello All,

Is any company releasing Macross II: Lovers Again TV episodes that are
subtitled?? The dubbed movie version is on YouTube in fourteen (14)
chunks of ten (10) minutes each. After watching the first few moments
of the dubbed version, I knew I couldn't watch the entire movie.

I don't remember seeing anything in the Dealer's Room this year's con.

Many thanks,
Bill N.

It's not a TV show, but an OAV series of 6 episodes first released in
the US by USRendtions, then later by Manga when they bought the
catalog. The "movie" should be the unedited episodes mashed together,
and a DVD with a dub and subtitles shouldn't be too hard to find...
www.dvdpricesearch.com shows most retailers have a release from
Rykodisc, whom I've never heard of.

Interesting old school trivia: this OAV was the first anime released in
the US and Japan at the same time. Japanese sales were poor and it was
going to be scrapped after four episodes, but US sales gave them enough
income to finish it up. In our club we watched the first episode
dubbed, the second in Japanese untranslated, then gave up on it :)
